Present evidence as for the Postgraduate Diploma but with groups of 50 or more people for a minimum of 5 years. Staff development should be evidenced by systems, procedures and strategies. Examples of implementation of staff development plans should be provided. Evidence should show how the work of the group copes with complexity, unique events and with ambiguity. Evidence should illustrate the strategic impact of choices to be made and decisions.
2. Developing Capability and Capacity
As for the Postgraduate Diploma but the impacts in both examples should have been very significant for the organization, such that the continuation of the organization in its previous form would have been untenable. As with the Postgraduate Diploma, candidates should write a reflective report on the adequacy of the capacity building at the time.
3. Making Sense of Complexity and Ambiguity
Present evidence showing how you have made sense of complex and ambiguous issues for a large group of 50 or more people. Include a description of the issues and the strategies you developed and employed. The issues are likely to have been of major importance with significant impact on the organization. Reflect on the issues and comment on the impact your actions had on the people concerned.
4. Leading Change
Present evidence of leading change in groups of 50 or more people. The changes will be strategically important for the organization. The evidence should illustrate the issues giving rise to the change and describe the situation following the change. Reflect on the handling of the change and comment on what you might do differently next time.
Present evidence about two decisions you have taken based on ethical principles that have impacted groups of 50 or more people. The evidence should illustrate the issues giving rise to the decisions and the consequences of the decisions. Provide evidence of how ethics has been incorporated into organizational policy and staff development programmes. Provide examples of the implementation of such policy and staff development programmes.
Present evidence which describes how you have demonstrated your integrity in the past in circumstances which were important for a larger group of 50 or more people. Reflect on the situations and comment on the impact your behaviour had on the people concerned.
As for the Postgraduate Diploma but candidates should now present 4 examples of influencing where the person so influenced was: (1) a colleague at the same level (2) a customer (3) a member of the financial community (4) a member of a relevant regulatory authority. Reflect on the events and write a report on the tactics used, their effectiveness and implications for the use of such tactics by others in your organization.
Candidates should provide evidence of 3 ceremonies they conduct. This is likely to involve large groups of people for more than 2 hours such as awards ceremonies, AGMs, or welcoming VIPs. Reflect and write a report on the importance of ritual and ceremony in your organization.
9. Handling Cultural Diversity
Present evidence on how you have handled both internal and external issues of cultural diversity. The issues will already have had strategic impact and this should be described. Staff development should be evidenced by systems, procedures and strategies. Examples of implementation of staff development plans should be provided.
